There are many websites that provide the Mutual Fund Research Software online. Mentioned below are few links:

http://www.itrust.in/mutual-funds.action

http://www.moneycontrol.com/india/bestportfolioman...cks/mutualfunds/loginportfolio

http://valueresearchonline.com/membership/getin.asp?ref=%2Fport%2Fdefault.asp%3F

Further, there are many criterions that need to be considered before choosing any appropriate fund. These are:

o Absolute returns for the tenure of less than 1year and compounded annualized growth rate (CAGR) for more than 1 year should be considered
o Other parameters such as Expense ratio, Asset Allocation, Asset under Management, Investment Objective, Portfolio of the scheme etc.

1. Reliance Growth Fund
2. Reliance Vision Fund
3. Reliance Equity Opportunities Fund
4. Reliance Equity Fund

Also companies like ICICI and Franklin Templeton also have some really good mid cap mutual funds!
