I want to invest 4 lacs total money I saved in State Bank of India a/c.What are the best 3 modes of investment?

Objectives
Risk appetite
Time horizon

If you are looking for a fixed deposit equivalent time bound investment then you can consider a FMP which is a fixed tenure investment and gives you tax benefits which make it more advantageous than FDs.

You can also consider a capital protected closed ended fund like the ones launched by Franklin Templeton - they have part of their investment in equity to give you growth while the majority investment is in debt instruments to ensure that your capital is protected.

Generally speaking, your bank is probably giving you a 3.5% interest on CASA deposits. Most FDs, FMPs, money market funds will give you a better after tax return than that, and some might even offset the impact of inflation as well.
