At present there are four standalone critical illness plans from life insurance company in the Indian insurance market namely HDFC Critical Care Plan,ICICI Prudential Crisis Cover, Max New York Life Wellness Plus Plan and Tata AIG Life Health Investor.

ICICI Prudential Crisis Cover is a very good plan as it offers a term of 50 years and cover an individual till the age of 75 years. Further, the premiums for the plans are guaranteed for first five years from the date of commencement of the policy. Thereafter, the premiums are annually reviewable. Any change in premium will only be effected with approval from IRDA.
