But I am not aware of how to claim the benefits and when are they available?

Critical illness policy provides protection from the life threatening illness, which can hamper your routine life style. With a critical illness cover one can secure himself from such contingencies. This is a benefit policy which pays the Sum Insured as lump sum amount once he/she is diagnosed with one of the listed critical illness. Different companies may cover different critical illnesses.

Claims procedure : The insured needs to submit the claim from along with certificate from the specialist confirming occurrence of the critical illness.
