Topic: LIC - Child Fortune Plus - is it a good plan to invest for my child's education?

I have a daughter which is of 7 years age and I want to invest a regular amount every year for her higher education. Is LIC - Child Fortune Plus the right plan? What returns can I expect? Anybody there to share their experiences?

Child fortune plus are unit linked plans. The returns are Dependant on the market,fund chosen. LIC traditional plans are better than Unit Linked plans. LIC ULIPS are costly compared to other ULIP child plans such as Birla Sun Life Insurance Children's Dream Plan, HDFC UNIT LINKED YOUNG STAR II,Max New York life SMART Steps Plus,Aviva Young Scholar and ICICI SmartKid New Unit Linked Regular Premium.
