Topic: Best Life Insurance Policy with 50 Lakh Coverage  XML

Hello Folk,

My age is 27 Years and My Wife age is 29 Years, I almost fed up with these insurance executives.

I just want to make sure that I'm taking the right policy at better premium.

I'm looking for 50 Lakh Life coverage for us separately . What is the best policy suits my needs and what is the premium. I hope i will get the best solution here so that i can directly go ahead and get it.

If the policy got something like guaranteed Nav & Some % return on the premium i do not mind in taking the ULIP also So that investing them in equities can give good results in long run.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,
G33K.

Hello,

I would love to reply, but this forum and website does not permit any marketing kind of replies.

But on general grounds, I can say you have kept various options for yourself. You can get a pure term plan for yourself which will cost not more than 0.4% of the insurance cover.

For guaranteed NAV plans, the investment could be much higher. Lest say the plan offers 25times insurance cover, then for a 50lac cover, your annual prem will be 2lacs. Yes, the benefits will also come along, like lower charges compared to term plan and higher returns compared to MF.

I am sorry to say this...but life insurance is nothing but a FRAUD by the insuranc companies. ULIP...is a crime committed by the insurance companies...Never go for either of this...!

If you want insurance cover..go for a pure term policy or if your health is very good...go for a Personal Accident policy which would cost you just Rs. 45 per lakh

There are few options you can go for:

For Term Insurance, go only for LIC because the claim ratio of LIC is 98% and this is higher than the other Insurance providers. No other Co's claim ratio is more than 80%.

Annual Premium for 50 Lac S.A. @ age 27 will be Rs. 16,300/- for Term of 35 Yrs. For term below 35 yrs premium will be less.

Annual Premium for 50 Lac S.A. @ age 29 will be Rs. 18,250/- for Term of 35 Yrs.

Other than this if you want to go for with return option. The best option is go for LIC's Jeevan Sathi where both of you will be covered under a single plan and you have a choice to opt that plan as ULIP or Endowment.

Do not just go by the hype about LIC.
I agree LIC settlement rate is good. Their reputation also good.

But new players SBI Life, ICICI Pru, Birla Sunlife etc are doing exceptionally good job and most imporantly GOOD SERVICE, but for a low premium compared to LIC.

Look at the market share in now, slowly LIC is coming down and other players come up.

SBI Smart Shield Term insurance

27 Yrs(non smoker) - 50 lakhs - 30 yrs - Rs.8982/- (look at the difference in premium. where is LIC?)

I would recommend LIC only because of 4 reasons:

1. This company has been time tested and profit making and bonus declaring company, with high bonus rates

2. LIC has the highest settlement of claims, nearly 99%(one of the best WORLDWIDE), vis-a-vis pvt insurers with much lower claim settlement record.

3. 55 year track record, 2050 branches, excellent customer support, security and transparency

4. Being fully owned by Govt of India there is a sovereign guarantee for one's investment

Seems like you had a tough time deciding the right insurance policy that meets your needs. Having read through your requirement and the large sum associated with your policy, I'd suggest you to go for an insurance services company who offer discount or rebates for a sum as large as yours. A colleague of mine who recently took a customized life insurance policy from Bajaj Allianz which provide the dual benefit of protection and flexibility in investments.
