Can you please specify what insurance you want to apply for? Life or General? If it is life, I advise you to opt for a term insurance by Bharti Axa as they are well known for quick settlement of claims. Their online life insurance plan can be availed from the age of 18 years and the policy provides cover for 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years. I would vote LIC as the best. For one reason they have the best settlement rate. I would go with reputed insurance company. LIC premiums are higher but so is the service.

Some of the companies have 50% settlement rate.

If you are looking for child insurance then please avoid this product. dont go just because it carries the word "child"
