Stop your false promises. Even LIC doesnot assure guaranteed return in the case of ULIP.
I know people who burnt their fingers even after 3 years of premium in Money Plus. Talking great things are not great. In short, "ULIPs are riskier and no return guarantee even for the premium."

According to me Jeevan Kishore and Komal Jeevan are the best policies for childrens for single premius and regular premium.

These 2 policies gives you best return among LIC products.

SBI LIFE Unit Plus III and choose your Fund Top300 its more use full for your child i think it helps you...

LIC Children plan comes with PWB - (premium waiver benefit), which is very essential.

ULIP plans, no one gives guarantee.
Pls avoid investing for childrens in ULIP and suffer at last.

When it comes to child plan, you can always select the brand name of hdfc life insurance. not only this, you can also check out other life insurance plans that are suitable for the same purpose.

Why you want to go for child plan?

Instead go for insurance cover for your self because technically children dont need insurance as
1. they dont earn and hence no loss of income arising out of that
2. in case of eventuality on the proposer that is you, children policy needs to be continued and no claim becomes due and payable

You have not mentioned your age. I will assume it to be 30. Coming to the point, LIC's single premium child policy

Single premium: Rs. 381575

Maturity Benefits:

At Age 18 of the child : Rs. 100000

At Age 20 of the child : Rs. 100000

At Age 22 of the child : Rs. 150000

At Age 24 of the child : Rs. 150000

At Age 26 of the child : Rs. 900000

Insurance Cover : From Age 7 to Age 26 of the child Insurance cover will be Rs. 500000+ Addition @ 18750 *No of yrs

I would recommend LIC only because of 4 reasons:
