Section 80C offers some good investment and Tax Saving options some of them are:

-Contribution to Public Provident Fund
-Investment in Equity Linked Savings Schemes (ELSS) of mutual funds
-Investment in Infrastructure Bonds,
-Investment in National Savings Certificates
-Fixed deposit with any scheduled bank or post office for 5 years
-Senior citizens savings scheme
