Topic: My housing loan is applicable for income tax or not

I have purchased a flat at Kalyan(dist Thane). My service location at Jalna District(M.S). and loan taken from HDFC. My housing loan is applicable or not for income tax. Flat EMI started from sept-08.

Hi Divya,

You are eligible for all the home loan benefits offered by income tax act.

Further if you're living in a rented accommodation near your work place then you can avail benefits of HRA as well as home loan.
