As a part of compensation my company offers me a car lease which I have taken in name of my wife who has no other major Income and after considering her tax savings she has no tax liability. However my company deducts TDS on such car lease, which ultimately my wife will have to claim as a refund. I would like to know that can this tax deduction be avoided by any means.

Definitely you can avoid this tax deduction. Since your wife does not have any tax liability she can apply for a no tax deduction certificate (in form 13) to the assessing officer (TDS ward) on obtaining such certificate you just need to submit a copy with the payroll/finance department of your company, who in future will not deduct TDS on the payments made to your wife.
