Hi,

I am interested in purchasing a residential plot/land for residential purpose and would like to take a home loan. Would like to know whether I will get Tax rebate on same and if i don't construct a house on it what are the repercussions on account of being charged commercial rate or no tax rebate. Which banks are giving loans for such purpose or what is the way out

HDFC can help you in this case.It offers loan for land purchase for residential people as well as NIRs.The maximum loan HDFC gives is 85% of cost of the land and based on the repayment capacity of the customer.
