Please be clear on why you wish to change your home loan provider.
Is it because you want a better interest rate and change in home loan emi?
Is it because of service?
Or, any other reason?

There is usually a pre-payment penalty for the loan, so please understand that you will lose some money when you transfer out of ICICI Bank. additionally, SBI might also charge you a loan processing fee. So, you might end up paying two types of fees during this home loan balance transfer.

Ask both the banks what the fee will be. Maybe you can also ask SBI to cancel the processing fee for transferring your loan to them, this way you might be able to avoid paying these two types of fees.

Make sure that you do the calculations of whether you will really save money with the transfer or not. The last thing you want to do is pay all these hidden charges. Also, practically speaking, you want to make sure that you are not going to add to your headache on the service levels. Understand that SBI’s criteria for emi could be more strict than what you might be used to. So, please check this with SBI and compare with ICICI.

Since SBI is a nationalized bank, always it is good to go with Nationalized bank. Again you need to check your current balance of your home laond principal and calculate the balance EMI and new sum of your new EMI of SBI. And find the profitablity for you.

Before transferring your home loan to one bank to another, you must be cleared about the reasons of transfer. suppose your reason is that your current lender is not giving you the current market rate and you must need to check the interest rate being offered by the bank. Also check for any other upfront or administrative charges that may be charged extra. It is also important that you check the terms and conditions regarding home loan prepayment.

Sir u can transfer ur loan from ICICI bank to SBI.
Visit ur nearest SBI branch. U need to fill apllication form.
submit following documents:- 1 . Address and id proof
2. Latest 3 months salary slips
3. 6 months bank statement of ur salary a/c
4. 1 year bank statement of ur loan a/c
5. foreclosure letter from ICICI bank which will show ur outstanding loan amount
6. List of documents which will also be provided by ICICI bank.

You can easily transfer your home home loan from ICICI Bank to SBI bank. Get more relevant advice here-

Well if you are looking forward to restructure your home loan, then, you can easily do that. you just have to pay prepayment to previous lender and processing charge for new home loan sbi.

please check RBI has removed switch over charges so ther will no charges while transfering the loan from one bank to another
