What if I am unable to obtain medical insurance through my employer; should I seek coverage under one of many individual health insurance plans available out there??
Every individual should be covered under a health insurance policy for the simple reason that medical emergency can strike anyone, anytime. If one does not have health insurance policy from the employer, or is self employed he/she should opt for Individual health insurance. Though individual health plans are expensive in comparison to group health insurance, yet it has its own benefits and will provide financial assistance during critical times.
