For my mother - 59 years from National - Varistha Mediclaim.

For age below 60, normal mediclaim policies are available.
Nnational varishta is applicable for senior citizens age above 60.

You can choose number of companies offering mediclaim. premium depends upon the company you have chosen.
Medical test to be done/ medical report has to be submitted .

In star health insurance Rs 3000 premium for 1 lac cover for age 59.
you have to submit the applicatin form,passport size photos, payment by cheque/dd, after that the the company will issue a leeter asking to undergo medical test in your nearest city and mentioning where you have to go,. Medical costs will be born by the company.After receiving the report, the policy will be completed
