If your parents age is below 60 years. they can take any medclaim policy available. They may have to undergo medical test.

For persons age above 60 and below 70 there is a special Senior citizen red carpet insurance available without requirement of pre-insurance medical test.
Individual Policy. Sum insured 1 lakh and 2 lakh available . premium Rs.5000 and 9500 respectively including service tax.
You have to submit application along with passport size photo of all and payment by cheque. You can be a proposer and you can pay by your cheque and also enjoy tax benefits for gifting your parents this mediclaim policy.

I took a year off and lost the insurance on my parents policy. I work full time for a global company and have wonderful heath care through them. I am really wanting to go away for my last three years of college, but I need the insurance...There are a couple other locations of my company in the chain of the college I've been looking into since my senior year in high school....If I can transfer I will so I don't lose my benefits and such.
But If I cannot transfer, how can I go about getting health insurance that will be valid in other states..!?Thanks....
