Hello All,

This is great time to announce LIC's Fixed Deposit plan - so unique that you will be forced to take it and drop all your preferred banks.

All banks currently offer 8% interets for a 10year period. However, the interest portion here is taxable.

If you are in 30% tax slab, your interest yield is 5.6% only !
For 20% slab, its 6.4%.

Whereas LIC is offering guaranteed 6.5% plus bonus based on perforamce. Considering past performance and LIC's estimates, the net yield can be as high as 7% !! Whats important is that it is tax free !!!!

Further, it is loaded with benefits:

1. You get insurance cover
2. No medical check up required
3. Investment qualifies for tax rebate under section 80c

However, there are certain restrictions on these plans:

1. Max investment Rs. 10Lac
2. Person should have a policy with LIC, with sum assured = 10times the investment in this FD
(So if you wish to invest Rs. 2Lac, then you should have a policy of sum assured 20Lac and it should have been passed without medical or health loadings)

Nonetheless, do not be disappointed, if you dont have any LIC policy.
Such opportunities do not come again and again - grab it when you can. Best regards

The information looks attractive.

But I am unable to find any information in LIC site, or even through google search.

How do I get more information about the product? How shall I open a LIC FD?

Can you give me an official link where I can find more info?

@ subu

It is improbable that you shall get intrinsic details from the webpage. The reason is, LIC follows certain guidelines and restrictions on how to market a product. You may know they dont do aggressive marketing like other insurance companies.

Pls mention your mail id or contact number so that I can explain all matters to you.

My only question is why do you always feel suspicious about LIC?? Most people invest blindly when it comes to private insurance cos. but always doubt where they are supposed to be more secure with LIC !! But I will be happy to answer your queries and work out this FD word to word as mentioned earlier.
