Topic: Taxation on PF Withdrawal?

I withdrew the PF amount from my employer where I worked for 13 months. They have sent me a form 16 from their Staff PF created and charged the withdrawal income as income under the head salary. I have claimed that amount as exempt due to reasons of my continuity in service beyond 5 years, though not with this employer. I have been working for over 9 years without a single day break in my job changes.

Am I right in claiming the exemption? What is the correct treatment of such a transaction, so that I can make my TDS rufund in the correct manner?
