Tax Treatment of Income from Salary

If you earn it, they will tax it! So, lets go through what are the different items that are taxable.

Any income arising out of an employee – employer relationship is taxed under the head Salary. Your Salary is taxed either on receipt or on due basis, whichever comes earlier.
